I can't remember when it started, but I've had this fascination with learning about historic southern towns. I had the chance to visit St. Augustine a couple of years back, and of course, Savannah has to be in that list. I have been telling my wife for the longest time that I wanted to go. Finally, we found the person reason... our anniversary.
We rented a room through
Airbnb, packed our bags, and headed to just north of the Florida border. Immediately upon arrival, I felt the Savannah atmosphere. Old trees lining the streets and historic houses everywhere.
We spent the day walking around the different squares and we even stumble into the Annual Folk Festival at Ellis Square. To be honest, I think we visited this square several times during the few days that we were there.

On Saturday morning, we did a walking tour that took us through several squares and we finished at Forsyth Park.
